In 2021, Texas passed Senate Bills 13 and 19, groundbreaking legislation designed to protect its vital energy and firearms industries from the economic and political pressures of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) dictates.
" The state’s legislation ensures that financial performance and fiduciary duty remain at the forefront, safeguarding the interests of its citizens and the health of its economy." & "The state’s legislation ensures that financial performance and fiduciary duty remain at the forefront, safeguarding the interests of its citizens and the health of its economy."
All of the misinformation and disinformation and gets so tiresome and sounds so good when you read it, and then who do we believe, better yet who do our legislators believe, that seems to be the biggest battle, because no matter how good it sounds - we the people really don't matter until its voting time!
I am more inclined to believe you Jason than the other side - but isn't that how all this works? It means taking sides and we have no way to know the data.
That trust has been lost.
ESG, Net Zero and the like, march on undaunted. Like the PUC becoming a banker for gas companies, if ESG is gone how come they couldn't get financing from regular Texas banks?
Like our land being gobbled up for solar and wind facilities to the tune of 300,000 acres currently and 1.5 million in the pipeline for solar alone; like multiple Chinese companies setting up solar "manufacturing" facilities here, and calling them US built. Like energy policies that benefit the few at the expense of the ratepayer and the taxpayer. This is just a few examples. Who is really defending us?
